Android OS as SAR App Device
By using built-in BLE and WiFi modules as passive receiving sensors, the SAR App captures wireless signal data in real time and securely transmits it to the AI-powered Search and Rescue platform.
This creates a flexible and highly deployable SAR App solution for modern Search and Rescue operations.
SAR App Compatible with Multiple Drone Platforms
Any Android device running the Live Aware SAR App can be securely mounted beneath a drone using cables, screws, or other mounting fixtures.
This allows the SAR App to operate with a wide range of SAR Drone and UAV platforms, providing exceptional flexibility for different mission types and operational requirements.
Flexible SAR App Deployment for SAR Drone Operations
The modular design of the SAR App makes it compatible with many types of drones used during:
Wilderness Search and Rescue
Disaster response missions
Mountain rescue operations
Forest search operations
Emergency response deployments
Volunteer SAR missions
Mobile SAR App Flexibility
Because the SAR App operates directly on Android devices, Search and Rescue teams can rapidly deploy both airborne and handheld RDF systems without requiring complex hardware installations.
This flexibility allows SAR organizations to scale operations quickly and efficiently in the field.
Intelligent Whitelisting Capabilities
The Live Aware SAR App includes intelligent whitelisting capabilities designed to minimize false positives during Search and Rescue operations.
Before a mission starts, operators can initiate a WHITELIST SCAN that automatically whitelists nearby device attributes belonging to SAR personnel, rescuers, and operational teams.
This prevents the SAR App from incorrectly identifying rescue personnel as missing individuals during operations.
Shared SAR App Team Whitelisting
When multiple operators and teams are working simultaneously, whitelisted device attributes can be securely shared across the mission environment.
This allows:
SAR UAVs to operate safely near ground teams
Multiple ground searchers to use handheld RDF devices simultaneously
Improved coordination between drone and field teams
Improved coordination between drone and field teams
The result is a smarter and more operationally efficient SAR App ecosystem for complex Search and Rescue missions.
SAR App RDF – Radio Direction Finding Technology
The SAR App uses Radio Direction Finding technology to detect BLE, Bluetooth, and optionally WiFi-enabled devices during Search and Rescue operations.
BLE detection is highly accurate for close proximity Search and Rescue operations, typically operating within a range of approximately 1 to 80 meters.
Optional WiFi detection provides wider-range coverage with slightly lower accuracy, typically operating within a range of approximately 1 to 200 meters.
Real-Time SAR App Distance Estimation
When signals are detected, the SAR App platform automatically estimates and displays the approximate signal distance in meters within the AI-powered Search and Rescue dashboard.
This provides operators with:
Real-time situational awareness
Directional Search and Rescue intelligence
Faster localization capabilities
Improved operational coordination
More accurate search area reduction
The combination of BLE and WiFi signal intelligence allows the SAR App to support both close-range precision detection and wider-area Search and Rescue operations.
